Bass frequencies naturally collect in room corners. These acoustic foam bass
traps add thick sound-absorbing material where low-frequency buildup is often
strongest.
Place them in vertical wall corners to help create tighter bass response,
clearer recordings and more accurate monitoring.

Where Should Bass Traps Be Installed?
Start with the upper corners of the room where two walls meet. For additional
treatment, continue down the vertical corners or place traps in as many room
corners as possible.
Bass traps work best when combined with wall and ceiling absorption panels.
Use bass traps for corner buildup and acoustic panels for reflections and
overall reverberation.

A bass trap adds thick absorption in room corners where low-frequency energy
commonly builds up. This can improve bass clarity and reduce excessive room
resonance.
How many bass traps do I need?
Start by treating the four upper room corners. Larger rooms and rooms used
for recording or mixing may benefit from additional traps extending down the
vertical corners from ceiling to floor.
Can bass traps be used without acoustic panels?
Yes, but most rooms benefit from a combination. Bass traps treat corner buildup
while wall and ceiling panels help control reflections and reverberation.
Will these bass traps soundproof my room?
No. Acoustic foam improves sound quality inside a room by absorbing reflections
and reducing reverberation. It is not designed to block sound from entering or
leaving the room.
Where should I install bass traps first?
The upper corners of your room.
Can I cut the bass traps?
Yes. Acoustic foam can be cut carefully with a sharp electric carving knife, scissors, or sharp utility knife.
Are these bass traps fire rated?
Yes. SoundAssured polyurethane acoustic foam has a Class A fire rating. Refer
to the installation and product care guide for test information.
I ordered eight base traps. I put two in each of the four upper corners of my studio. They work excellent. Big thanks to Phil and Sound Assured.
Hi Andy, thank you so much for your kind words! Best of luck with everything you are working on!

Bass Traps Review
Before purchasing the Bass Traps, speakers were moved/reposition; wiring was changed; etc. The addition of corner bass traps eliminated a definite 'hump' in specific frequency regions audio playback. The addition of the bass traps eliminated the 'bounce' (bass hump) of audio. Successful audio obtained. . .finally!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad to hear the bass traps worked for you :)

Easy install. Tons of color options. We haven’t completed our project yet so we haven’t been able to test it with all of the dogs but we can already feel and hear a difference in the room. No echos and sound already absorbed. We bought 16 panels and 4 bass absorber pieces. We have dogs and we don’t want the barking to disturb our neighbors.
Thanks so much for taking time to leave us a review! Happy to hear the echoes are gone and sound is being absorbed. Wishing the best for you and your doggos :)

I wasn’t sure how to stick this to the wall so I haven’t gotten to it yet. You also need to wait 24/48 hrs until in fully inflates from packaging (not a problem) but not too convenient if you have a busy life or don’t have adhesive or tacks on hand.
Hi Syraia, thanks for sharing your thoughts! We will take this into consideration. The foam ships compressed to offer a better price. Adhesives are sold separately. Please send us a message if you have any questions about installation or need recommendations for the best adhesive for your needs... Cheers!
I struggle with echo in my den and bedroom. I don’t have to worry about noisy neighbors or if I am too noisy either. Great peace of mind at a great cost.
Hi Syraia, we're so happy to hear the panels are helping create a more peaceful space for you! Thanks for sharing your experience with SoundAssured.
